The INVALCO Model CQ-401 is a dual-purpose continuous drain float valve that automatically discharges liquid or vapor from a tank. It is widely used in the bottom of fuel gas scrubbers to continuously drain accumulated liquids so they are not carried to the burner. For liquid drain-off the valve opens when liquid rises above the float; for gas/vapor venting it opens when liquid is below the float. Rotating the valve assembly 180° switches between the two modes.
