The Smith Meter Model 215 Digital Control Valve is a high-performance wafer-sphere valve with a solenoid-controlled pneumatic or hydraulic spring-diaphragm actuator. With a Smith Meter electronic valve controller such as an AccuLoad or microLoad it gives low pressure drop preset loading and flow control, and because operation does not depend on fluid viscosity or pressure it suits heavy fuel oils and lube oils where hydraulic valves are limited. A normally-closed solenoid on the pressure line and a normally-open solenoid on the relief line open, close or lock the valve; needle valves set the speeds. The valve is spring-loaded fail-to-close, and a pre-wired explosion-proof junction box is standard.
