The Smith Meter Model PA-11 preamplifier is a direct replacement for the Waugh PA-11. It mounts on a Smith Meter turbine meter or in the field and converts the low-level sinusoidal pickup-coil signal into a square-wave pulse for long transmission runs or for instruments that need a fast edge-triggered input. Two-wire operation carries power and signal on the same pair; jumper-selectable gain lets the sensitivity be matched to the installation.
