The Smith Meter Model T-11 is a 2-inch, single-case, angle-type rotary vane positive displacement meter with a cast iron housing. It is used for blending, batching, dispensing, inventory control and custody transfer of oils, solvents, chemicals, paints, fats and fertilizers, and is often packaged with a strainer, LNC counter, preset counter and SPG-2 preset valve. Offset inlet and outlet nozzles minimize pressure drop across the measuring chamber, and the calibrator adjusts in 0.05% steps.

Key specifications

  • Size: 2 in (Smith square flanges with 2 in female NPT companion flanges)
  • Max flow: 80 GPM (300 L/min) continuous; 100 GPM (375 L/min) intermittent; 75 GPM (285 L/min) all-iron trim
  • Linearity / repeatability: ±0.15% typical over the rated range (minimum flow depends on viscosity) / ±0.02%
  • Viscosity: 400 mPa·s standard; to 2 Pa·s with high-viscosity clearances
  • Temperature: -20 to 150 °F standard; to 200 °F with high-temperature clearances or all-iron trim
  • Max working pressure: 150 psig up to 200 °F
  • Meter gearing: 1 US gallon or 1 dekaliter per calibrator revolution
  • Materials: Cast iron housing; iron, steel, stainless, aluminum and bronze internals (all-iron trim optional); Buna-N standard, Viton or PTFE optional seals
  • Weight: Meter 57 lb; preset package about 92 lb

How to specify / order

The bulletin gives an ordering checklist rather than a position-by-position model code. Provide the following with your RFQ:

  • Application: Batching, loading, blending, inventory, process control
  • Operating conditions: Liquid name and gravity; minimum/normal/maximum flow, temperature and viscosity; maximum working pressure
  • Seals: Meter: Buna-N (standard), Viton or PTFE; SPG-2 valve: Buna-N or Viton
  • Units of registration: Gallons, liters, pounds, kilograms
  • Inlet/outlet position: 1-A standard; specify another position (e.g. 2-C) if needed
  • Options / accessories: All-iron trim, high-viscosity or high-temperature clearances, Y-strainer, LNC counter, preset counter, ticket printer, SPG-2 preset valve

Pricing and lead time are quoted per configuration. Send the model code (or your application details), product, flow range, and pressure/temperature to Flow Measurement Services for a quote. Specifications summarized from Smith Meter bulletin SS01003; confirm current data with the factory before ordering.
