Smith Meter temperature probes and thermowells supply the temperature input that Smith Meter electronic presets (AccuLoad II and III) and flow computers use for temperature-compensated calculations. The four-wire platinum RTD sits in a 316 stainless steel well, with an explosion-proof, UL and CSA approved connection head, for pipelines, loading racks, marine docks, refineries, chemical plants and tank farms.

Example: TPW-3-2.5. Read the code left to right:
Model: TP = 4-wire temperature probe with explosion-proof junction box
Thermowell: Blank = 1/2" NPT probe, no well; W = with thermowell
Application: 3 = 1/2" NPT probe with 3/4" NPT well; 4 = 1/2" NPT probe with 1/2" NPT well (fits 3"/4" 210 valve port); both used with AccuLoad II and III
Well insertion length: 1.5", 2.5", 4.5" or 7.5" (7.5" with application 4); for no well, pick length by pipe size
Fill the well with thermal grease (P/N 644802-401) and use anti-seize (P/N 005893-600) on the threads. For instruments other than AccuLoad II/III, check probe compatibility.
