The Smith Meter AccuLERT ID 2000 Smart Pre-Amp performs real-time diagnostics on gas or liquid turbine meters by monitoring the consistency of rotor rotation against a stored signature. It alarms on damaged, broken or missing blades or buttons, worn bearings, debris build-up, poor hydraulics and flow-profile problems, which makes it valuable where proving is difficult or infrequent. It also works as a single- or dual-channel preamplifier, bidirectional totalizer, flow direction detector and data logger. It mounts on the meter in an explosion-proof housing or in a control room taking square-wave pulses from another preamp.
