LEGACY / DISCONTINUED PRODUCT. The Smith Meter AccuLoad II is a microprocessor-based electronic preset delivery system that controls the loading of petroleum or chemical products through two separate loading arms at the same time, with one shared external keypad and two side-by-side 1-line x 24-character vacuum fluorescent displays (one per preset position). It is no longer a current Smith Meter product: Flow Measurement Services offers support, spare parts sourcing and replacement/upgrade options (the factory's AccuLoad II to AccuLoad III upgrade path) for sites still running AccuLoad II. Preset positions: Two loading arms controlled simultaneously from one keypad (MN06041)
Measurement: Continuous meter-factor linearization with flow rate; volume correction from published API equations; automatic temperature, pressure and density correction available
Control functions: Additive injection (up to four injectors per preset position, paced or via communications), pump control, alarm contact, valve control, back-pressure control and automatic adjustment of the final trip point; controls a Smith Model 210 or 215 digital control valve for low-flow start and multi-stage shut-down
Safety monitoring: Minimum flow, excess flow, temperature detection, preset overrun and memory retention are monitored; a failure signals valve closure, and a contact closes if the valve has not closed within 10 seconds
Communications: EIA-232 port (multi-drop up to 32 meter positions to an ASCII printer or automation system) plus an additional EIA-485 port; polling, polling and authorization, or full remote control; protocol modeled on ISO 1155; STD Rev. 16+ firmware talks directly to Gate City Blend Pak and Titan PAC-3 additive systems
Security: Security code plus two contact closures; Weights and Measures codes need the second closure, highest-security codes also need a jumper on the computer board
Housings: Explosion-proof housing for hazardous locations, or NEMA 4 (non-explosion-proof) housing for general-purpose locations; explosion-proof nameplates listed for UL/CSA, BAS/CEN and PTB/CEN (P0402.52)

The complete model number from the AccuLoad II nameplate and the unit serial number (the parts list says the full model number is needed to identify the control module (ACM) suffix)
The firmware/software type in use (STD, SEQ, WBG, RBU, RBM, STM, etc.) and its revision
Housing: explosion-proof (and which approval: UL/CSA, BAS/CEN or PTB/CEN) or NEMA 4
The part number(s) needed from parts list P0402.52, or a description of the fault
For a replacement or upgrade: number of arms, straight / sequential / ratio blending, number of products and additives, and the I/O counts (pulse inputs, analog I/O, AC/DC digital inputs and outputs) - the factory AB06051 worksheet sizes AccuLoad II to AccuLoad III-S or III-Q upgrade hardware from these counts
