The Smith Meter MPU 200c is a single-path transit-time gas ultrasonic flowmeter intended as a backup or check meter, or for non-custody measurement, where a simpler, reliable design is wanted. Its straight measurement path sits above the pipe centerline, which reduces profile effects and keeps the path clear of liquids and solids, so it suits wet or dirty gas. It uses the same Series C electronics as the larger MPU meters, with 28 days of on-board diagnostic memory, a web-browser interface and an optional touch screen.

How to read the model code

Example: MPU2S0411SSBC. Read the code left to right; each position selects one option:

  • Position 1 (Model): MPU2 = MPU 200c
  • Position 2 (Certification): S = UL/cUL, ATEX, IECEx
  • Positions 3-4 (Diameter): 04, 06, 08, 10, 12 and up (inches)
  • Position 5 (End connections): 1 = Cl 150; 2 = Cl 300; 3 = Cl 400; 4 = Cl 600; 5 = Cl 900; 6 = Cl 1500; 7 = Cl 2500
  • Position 6 (Body material): 1 = carbon steel; 2 = 300-series stainless; X = special
  • Position 7 (Transducer material): S = standard titanium; X = special
  • Position 8 (Transducer type): S = standard; L = special
  • Position 9 (Mechanical certification): B = ASME B31.3; P = PED; C = CRN; X = special
  • Position 10 (Ethernet): C = 2 twisted pair; F = 1 twisted pair + 1 optical

Pricing and lead time are quoted per configuration. Send the model code (or your application details), product, flow range, and pressure/temperature to Flow Measurement Services for a quote.
