Smith Meter E-Type steel strainers protect metering systems from dirt and foreign material. A streamlined 10-degree slanted flow path and large screen area minimize pressure drop and extend time between cleanings, and the sturdy separable inner basket withstands a 50 psi differential without bursting and lifts out easily for cleaning. The strainer can be installed horizontally or vertically and includes 1/2" NPT pressure taps on the upstream and downstream nozzles. Options include air release kits, differential pressure gauge and switch kits, and NACE MR0175 construction.
